Have found my new Baratza Encore coffee grinder to provide a much more consistent grind with my locally roasted coffee having a much smoother taste. I appreciate its smaller footprint. It is not objectionably loud.

So far I’m really happy with my Encore coffee grinder. It is easy to use, easy to clean, and easy to look at. I generally make coffee in a standard drip coffee maker which I can set to automatically brew in the morning. Also, I regularly make either a pour over or use my Bialetti Moka pot for an afternoon cup. The Encore makes adjusting for the different grinds, as well as amounts, very easy. It is never hard or chore-like.The wire brush which is included makes it very easy to clean after each grinding. Wiping the outside, washing the cup, and cleaning inside where the burr grinders are is not hard and the directions are easy to follow.The black Encore looks great on my counter, next to my automatic drip pot and my electric hot water pot. A perfect set up for enjoying coffee.Ordering from Seattle Coffee Gear was simple, they packaged it well, and shipped it quickly. I would highly recommend this coffee grinder.

Great coffee grinder fir the price. Love that we could get it in black. Has many different settings from espresso to drip. It works great!

The grinder works well to create a uniform grind every time. However, it is much louder than I expected it to be and a small amount of grounds always falls behind the catch bin so every time you empty the bin it makes a mess on your counter.

We are so happy with our Baratza coffee grinder. This is the bestGrinder. We have the choice of a pour over grind or a French roast grindor what ever. Easy quick and perfect. Took me awhile to decide, but our markets pulled the coffee grinders outDue to the COVID19. So now we can grind in our very own kitchen. Yes I do recomond this Baratza and Seattle coffee. They are right on theBall and we received our purchase within a week. Very happy coffee people.

Compact counter footprint. Doesn’t make a mess of grounds during use. Very consistent grind. Have only used this far for pour over but am quite pleased with the result.

I watched all of Seattle Coffee Gear’s YouTube grinder videos and picked the Baratza Encore burr grinder. I upgraded from a hand burr grinder and am not sure what took me so long to do so! I do pour over coffee using the Kalita Wave along with super fresh beans from two local roasters. I thought my coffee was great, but Gail is right when she says a good grinder is an important part of the coffee making process! This grinder has made my pour over taste amazing. With this grinder being known for its longevity, I’m anticipating years of great tasting fresh coffee in my future. Thanks Seattle Coffee Gear for offering quality products and informative videos!

I haven't had a stand alone Burr grinder in about 30 years. This grinder seems to be a little quieter and does an amazing job of uniformly grind medium roast beans. pleased with the purchase.

I was disappointed after reading about the Baratza Encore before buying it. I definitely do NOT see an improvement in the taste of my coffee and it's messy for me to use. Stray coffee everywhere after grinding. Call me a Luddite!

This is the 3rd Barstza I’ve owned. The previous ones were great but noisy. This one does a great job and is much quieter than the previous 2 I’ve owned. With regular cleaning the first two lasted far longer than any others I’ve had. The third replaced an Opus that started turning off and on randomly.

After many years of using a blade grinder and having chunks of beans left over, I decided to invest in a burr grinder. Most of the reviews pointed to this as the best option, so I got it and am very happy that I did. The beans are ground uniformly, it's easy to set the grind size and there's way less mess transferring the ground beans out of the machine (there are some little tan flakes from the inner part of the bean, but they wipe up easily). Very much recommend.

Trying to return it. Clogs up every time I use it. Also, the top burr is jammed on the motor shaft, making it really hard to clean.

This has really sped up my morning routine!

I bought this new Baratza Encore to replace my old one of the same model. They should be identical. But the new one is WAY TOO LOUD!! It is effectively useless simply because it is so terribly loud. Vastly louder than the older one of the exact same model. The noise comes primarily from the plastic on the sides and the back. It appears to be a design defect. I see that some reviewers say this unit is quiet. I don't see how that's possible. Perhaps mine has a manufacturing defect.

replaced our 20 year old model and the slight improvements made it even better. Quieter, quicker. Am very happy with it. Looking forward to another 20 years of grinding coffee.

Baratza is an outstanding grinder.

What a difference this burrstone coffee grinder makes. After using a good quality metal blade for fresh pour overs, this is a 100% improvement in bean grinding quality and flavor!

I'm sure this is a great grinder, but I bought it for my 89 year old mother. It does not have a setting for amount of coffee, nor does it turn off automatically. She either had to measure the beans before putting in the hopper, or try to time the length of grind if she filled the hopper. Having difficulty seeing and hearing at her age, it just wasn't a fit. Sent it back.

I would recommend this coffee grinder. It grinds my beans perfectly and I have many grinder options including espresso!

I Love this grinder! It's very adjustable for different grinds and very quiet! It's also the perfect size for my counter top.

It doesn't take up a lot of counterspace, it fits under the cabinets, so easy to store. The hopper design feeds the beans through the grinder very efficiently. There's very little static buildup, and the catch bin is easy to clean- just rinse and dry! The only cautionary note I can think of, is to not overfill the hopper.I fill the hopper about halfway or less, which fills the catch bin about 2/3, and the grinding is done in less than a minute. This gives me enough grounds for about a week, at one scoop per cup.This is a great, easy to use grinder!

Can’t get it to grind the darker grind at highest settings yet. I discussed buying the baratza encore esp because it was on sale and had the better burr. I am planning to call to see if I can fix this or not. I using for cold brew and need highest settings
