Key Features

  • Fine Reusable Filter: The super fine reusable filter is great for keeping the ground coffee in the brew container and out of your concentrate. Simply unscrew the filter cap to access the stainless steel mesh filter for an easy rinse after each cold brew cycle.
  • Rainmaker: The removable brew container lid features a variety of holes that create a rain-like effect when water is poured over the top to saturate the grounds. This effect allows the grounds to be evenly saturated, while not oversaturating and allowing space for your grounds to bloom.
  • Brew Release Switch: Located front and center of the cold brew stand, keep the Brew Release Switch in an upright position during the steeping process and flip the switch down when you're ready to drain your freshly brewed concentrate.
  • Glass Carafe: The laboratory flask-like borosilicate glass carafe features measurement lines that offer the ability to measure in cups, ounces and milliliters.
  • Carafe Stopper: The glass carafe stopper doubles as a measuring cup for your concentrate. OXO suggests filling the carafe stopper with concentrate up to the measuring line, which is approximately 2 oz. Pour into a glass and dilute with water, milk or ice to create your favorite cold (or hot!) coffee concoction.

Overview

Feed the caffeine-loving mad scientist within, with the OXO Cold Brew Coffee Maker. Resembling something you might find in a chemistry set, this slightly transparent tower has one mission and one mission only...to brew you a delicious carafe of cold brew concentrate. To begin the process, simply add 10 oz (or 3.5 cups) of your favorite ground coffee. Pour 40 oz of water over the Rainmaker top for full water dispersion. Gently stir and let your concoction "steep" 12 - 24 hours, or overnight. In the morning, simply place the glass carafe under the cold brew tower, flip the Brew-Release Switch and, depending on the size of your grind, allow approximately 20 minutes for your fresh concentrate to fully drain. Use the carafe stopper to easily measure out 2 oz of freshly brewed concentrate and mix hot or cold water or milk to create your favorite drink.

Really happy with the output!

I was skeptical in getting this machine because how could this be any different than brewing coffee and then putting it in the fridge. Well, I sure was wrong. After watching SCGs YouTube page for reviews on this machine I decided to give it a try. Easy to use and Gail was right y'all, the output was in no way sour or acidic( I hate that profile in coffee). I made sure to brew for 20 hours and the concentrate was awesome for iced drinks. No leaking issues and seems to be well constructed. Excited to use it more and give our Breville a much needed break!

Fantastic!

Such a great cold brew coffee maker. So much better than the Toddy. I do wish it would nest together better when not in use, but that's a minor thing compared to how easy it is to use and clean.

Great mechanism cool cold brewer, slow pour down after, and important I think how coarse your gri...

Used once coarsed setting of my scala solis grinder about 19 hours tastes incredible but 40 oz water yields maybe 18 oz (other had very variable answers) of the concentrate. I think my grinder doesnt' go course enough will tinker so little less coffee, see how taste...seems a little less strong (2 oz concetrate vs. my regular mug of same) and figured out it's about the same amount of coffee used.

Love it!

So far we love it. Have made 3 batches since we purchased it and all have been good. Three ounces of the brew, 6 ounces of cold water, a tablespoon of flavored cream and a few ice cubes - perfect! It’s easy to use and easy to clean. We would recommend it.

This cold brew system is easy to use and the coffee is really good. The only draw back is the slippery condensation that gathers on the carafe while in the fridge

If I use 10 oz of grounds and 40 oz. of water, how much coffee will it make ( total oz)? Approximently 32 oz of concentrate? If I dilute it down to a drinkable taste, how many oz. total? I’d like you to make a large amount for a party and want to put it into a large container for self-serve.

How do you recommend cleaning the stainless steel filter? I've had my Oxo cold brew coffee maker for 2+ years, it makes great cold brew, but the draining has slowed drastically over the past few months. Also, would you recommend using the paper filter to extend the life of the permanent filter?

(1) Will it make any difference if the concentrate is stored in a glass pitcher with a stainless steel lid that is not airtight, rather than the glass carafe? (2) Will it make any difference if the concentrated, brewed coffee is diluted when it is refrigerated, rather than diluting it each time it is served?

Patrick C.

The best storage method for cold brew is as a concentrate, in an airtight container. The stopper in the OXO does a good job at keeping the concentrate fresh in the included carafe, but plastic isn't necessarily the best material to store coffee in. Storing cold brew as a concentrate will keep it fresh for up to 2-3 weeks, whereas diluting it will reduce its refrigerator life to just a couple of days. Thanks!

What is the best grinder for oxo cold Brew? I recently received breville coffee grinder but I'm finding that even at the coarsest level it is still to fine for the mesh filter in the oxo brew system.

Oxo cold brew coffee maker. Do the make a permanent filter instead of a paper filter?

Customer

It comes with a permanent metal filter that must be used. Paper filters are optional and can be used in addition to the metal one
