It’s hard to find coffees roasted on the darker side that maintain the flavor of the beans themselves. That’s why we love Jebena. This medium-dark roast retains the rich, delicious flavors from the Ugandan and Ethiopian coffees it is comprised of while giving you that hint of bitterness that manifests as a dark chocolate kind of note. Sweet caramel is the other major flavor here, and we love this roast in bolder brew methods like drip brew, French press, or espresso.

Boon Boona Coffee
Just tried this coffee yesterday! Amazing flavor and richness.I ground it fine for coffee and the rich crema was amazing. It is one of the best tasting coffees I have tasted in a long time.
I've had lattes from Boon Boona's coffee shops in Renton and Seattle and they have a really good flavor profile. So I use these beans when making lattes at home to replicate it.
Gasp - a 4!This coffee is wonderfully flavorful and has all the chocolatey notes you're looking for. As a medium roast guy - this is a dark roast I can get on board with. The first 4-5 days of this blend were amazing. As the beans age over 7-10 days - I struggled to get a consistent grind and therefore inconsistent pulls. It has good crema but not crazy silky. It does a really good americano if you have sweet milk. For my personal taste this was just shy of perfect. As a medium roast fan - I will be purchasing this again in the fall - I think my palette wants fruitier notes.
Brewed as a pour over (V60 Switch). Bloom 30 sec. Emersion for around 1:30. Water @87 C. 20 grams in 320ml end brew.After grind smells nutty, with wonderful hints of honey. Even slighter hints of Baker's Chocolate. Brew is light. Has a nutty front end with extremely slight sweet honey note. Back-end tastes of Baker's Chocolate, but not significantly less bitter - honestly there is very little if any bitterness. I would definitely get this again. This is my first specialty coffee, who knew coffee could be this complex and delicious. (8.7/10 - may revisit rating as I've had more specialty coffee.)

I picked this up in Seattle when I was visiting from NM. It is delicious! I can really taste the notes of chocolate in the coffee and the aroma is amazing. The barista was really knowledgeable about each of the coffees and helped me select the right one to take home. So happy I can order it from the website! Also- I recommend the rose hibiscus cortado- a uniquely delicious coffee that reminded me of being in India or Morocco.
Its really good. The tasting notes are accurate. Its not bitter at all. The crema is thick. I love it.
