Perfect device to reduce ground coffee mess in and around the station. 100% goes into the portafilter. Tamping is fuss and mess free. Dial in the dose and all is perfect.

The poster who mentioned it leaks and doesn't twist off easily used it incorrectly.. I know this because I absent-mindedly did the same thing lol! It is used only for grinding the beans to keep them from spilling over. But because it has the three prongs/tabs on top, it's like a visual cue to just put it in the brewing port and twist it on. So I did. Whoops! Do not do this, it's not for brewing, just grinding and tamping. That being said, it is amazing at keeping the grounds contained, and the tamping process is completely spill-free. It produces the best and least bitter espresso I've had, likely due to just getting the right amount of everything and tamping it correctly.

Yeah, it's plastic and not metal, Yeah, it's one of those things that you look at and say why didn't I think of that? It is also one of those things that will pay for itself and put money in your coffee bean account. I would always grind more beans than I could use and they would spill all over the tray. Not with this funnel, you catch all of the ground beans and then you can tamp them down. No mess, no wasted bean and money in the bean account. Great idea and well made, glad I have it now.

Does not work perfectly with barista touch impress. The tamper is too large to fit when it's on the portafilter. Also, the grinder will not recognize the portafilter in is position with the dosing funnel attached.

This is an amazing little accessory! No more mess on the counter or espresso machine, and simple to use. If they come back in stock, every one of my family members with a Breville espresso machine will be getting one of these for Christmas.

The dosing funnel is sooooo helpful. The ground coffee lands entirely in the portafilter, no mess. It makes the leveling and tamping process a snap. This has really improved the consistency and the quality of my expresso making. I highly recommend the dosing funnel. It is so useful that I think Breville should include it with all their expresso machines.

I've had my Smart Grinder Pro for a few years now. I initially purchased a dosing funnel that, while avoiding the mess, wasn't hands free. This accessory popped up in one of my social media feeds, and immediately grabbed my attention. I can't recommend this accessory enough! Totally hands free, mess free! This accessory fits the 54mm portafilter (I have the Bambino Plus.) However, with the dosing funnel attached, it rests perfectly using the 58mm portafilter cradle. I screw on the dosing funnel, pop it in the cradle, grind, rake, tap, and tamp. Unscrew and remove the dosing funnel and ready to go. No muss, no fuss!

Worked better than expected, knew it wouldn't fit Breville Grinder with portafilter attachment, but keeps grinder base clean of grounds. More consistent tamping, less waste.

This works exactly as it should. No mess, no wasted grounds. The 1 star review describes problems when inserting funnel into machine but this is specifically instructed against. It is only intended to keep your grounds neat in the filter, it is supposed to be removed prior to brewing.

Mine was unusable. It fits on the handle fine but once on the machine it doesn't twist off without a tough manual twist. Defeats the purpose. But far worse, it leaks all over the place. I used it twice and tossed it.
