Some of the best coffee I’ve ever had.
This is how real coffee should taste, in my opinion.
If you’re into Italian-style, these are for you.
Highly recommended!
Not acidic. A wonderful medium full flavor with a pleasing finish.
My husband rates this as his favorite for a classic Italian style cappuccino; rich and delicious with that hint of chocolate. I enjoy the Bristot Sublime for the smooth, tasty cappuccino that starts my morning with a smile!
As espresso, this coffee is decent when you drink it as a latte with sweetener. But I tried this coffee as an americano (espresso + water) and it tastes like a grocery store coffee. Not very good in my opinion. My coffee bag also said the coffee was roasted last year. So I would just treat this as a grocery store level quality coffee that is roasted in Italy. Which is kind of cool
The Roast was close to dark ((at least for me), and the test is a bit more bitter than the bean I used to buy from Seattle Coffe. not buy it again
I rate it between 4 and 5 star. It was very smooth and made a great espresso in my Philips Lattego espresso machine.
This blend is surprisingly excellent!I've made it in my Alessi moka pot, and pour over as well. It has a very nice crema, and rich chocolate notes without any bitterness. Nice and fragrant nose when ground, it's smooth and delicious! It helps greatly that I got a batch that was pretty recently roasted, which is always a concern buying coffee that's not locally roasted...It's a very good value, and very enjoyable.
Well traveled in Italy, it always seems that pairing foods with experiences enhances enjoyment of something well beyond the moment. A friend from Venice introduced me to Bristot coffee during a visit and subsequently arranged a visit to the roasting facility in Belluno. We toured the production floor and learned the company history from people we now call friends. Every sip of Speciale brings back a memory for me.Many friends have enjoyed Bristot espresso beverages in my home, I can?t count the times I?ve been told the taste is as if they were in Italy.
This coffee sounded great in the description and I purchased a large bag to try in my superautomatic machine. It has an intense, bold flavor, but I didn’t detect any of the notes described. For me the taste was bold, but flat. I doubt I received an old bag from SCG, but this was so bad that by the end, I vacuumed out all of the beans from the hopper to move on. My current favorite is the Miscela d’Oro Gran Crema and I’m back to that while I hunt for something tastier.
This coffee is what is to be expected from a fine Italian roast of this caliber. Unfortunately, many other roasters have made changes to their quality and standards in order to bring pricing down. They succeeded in that and now they compete with every coffee brand out there. Not with Bristot! They continue to make fine quality coffee. Thank you for that!
A great espresso; as good as Danesi espresso.
Is this recommended for a super automatic?
