Does the job

I get a more consistent size grind out of it than when the burrs are worn down. I typically repace the burrs about every 100 pounds

New Burrs = Better Espresso

Replaced the burr set after an unknown life span? on a Rocky 'inherited' from my son. The procedure was simple, following an online YouTube tutorial. The result: Better looking espresso grinds with much better resulting espresso pulls. Cheap upgrade for my system.

Sharpen your coffee grinding

If you have used your Rocky grinder every day for the past 4-5 years, the burs are slowly wearing away and getting dull. Would you go 5 years without sharpening your chef's knife? No. So replace your burrs and get that NEW ROCKY grind again.

My old grinder is like new again.

I have had my Rocky for many years with the same burr set. It was taking a long time to grind 70gm of beans. I got a new set and it literately like having a new grinder.

Replacement burrs work well. Should have gotten them a lot sooner.

New Burrs = A Better Cup of Coffee

I hadn't replaced my burrs since purchasing my Rocky Rancilio. The burrs were a some what easy install. I just couldn't get the unit adjusted just right so I dropped it off at Seattle Coffee Gear's repair center and they got things aligned within a couple of days.

Brrr it?s cold and Rocky needs new burrs

Exact duplicates of the original burrs. If you?re digging into the Rocky to clean it, may as well replace the burrs.

It’s easy to take Rocky apart, clean it and change grinding burrs.

They’re sharp and arrived quickly. The price was the best I’ve found. What more can one want?Gail’s excellent videos introduced me to SCG. Thank you, Gail!

The burrs arrived quickly and in great condition. They really revived my grinder - the grind is much more uniform in size and comes out much quicker than with older burrs. The installation is straightforward, too.

Sharp

Solved the static electricity problem. Some of the grind would fly out of the coffee holder. The original Burr was very dull and was not cutting but gumming / rubbing / squeezing the beans. I had a juicer not a grinder.Noticeable improvement in the espresso.

Cheap upgrade/maintenance item, like a whole new grinder

My Rocky grinder was 3+ years old and I was increasingly having trouble getting good espresso out of it. I wondered if perhaps the burrs were dull and figured that a new set of burrs was a cheap enough experiment. Replacing them was easy, especially since I take apart the grinder regularly to clean it. OMG, the difference is huge, it is like a new grinder and my espresso is so much better.

Great seller. Great product.

I initially ordered this set from Amazon, but was surprised to find only 1 (one) burr included for the same price. I had to request a refund and went shopping elsewhere. The item ordered from SCG was indeed a full set that is needed to replace dulling burrs. I had switched to using my Rocky only for pour over coffee as the burrs had worn down too much to make a fine enough grind for espresso. With the burrs replaced, ol' Silvia is back in action. The package itself was shipped in a timely manner, and I can recommend buying from this site.

Will these work with Rocky model SD?

Mark K.

Yes, they work great. But watch a YouTube video on how to install them correctly. I've done it 3 times now, and It takes some practice.

HI, I am having a really tough time removing the screws for the burrs on Rocky. They are extremely tight. Any tips to remove the screws??

Customer

I'd try an old mechanic's trick of carefully heating the stubborn screw, in this case with a hair dryer directed at the burr for a minute or so. (I didn't have trouble replacing mine, but the previous suggestion about using a good screwdriver, fully aligned and with even pressure, is helpful.)

Customer

Remove stubborn Rocky burr screws? Go to home barista website and search Many suggestions.

James A.

Make sure there is no coffee in the screw head. Use a needle to clean it out if necessary. Use a high quality screwdriver that perfectly fits the slot. You could try LIGHTLY tapping the screwdriver handle to loosen the screw. But don’t tap hard as you could damage the motor. As a last resort, you could try an impact screwdriver. Watch some YouTube videos on the proper way to use one. Again, do not tap hard or you’ll damage the motor. Take your time and be careful!

Fleet T.

Try a 1/2 inch drive impact screwdriver

John M.

Use the biggest screwdriver that fits the head of the screw. This will allow you to transfer more twisting power and the screws will eventually get loose

Are these genuine burr grinders made by rancillio?

does this replacement work for the SD grinder?

What are the dimensions 50x31x8 or 50x30x7.6 ?

Ryan K.

50x31x8, it seems. I don't have calipers handy, and so am uncertain about the second dimension, but definitely 8mm deep and 50mm across the outer diameter.

Customer

My set measures 50 x 31 x 8
