Happy with my coffeemaker cover!

I am happy with my little Chemex glass coffeemaker cover. it is cute and neat and helps to keep the coffee warm. It was hard to find one; lots of stores carry the coffeemaker, but hardly anyone had the lid, and the few shops who did charged an arm and a leg for it. Yours was reasonable, and so was the shipping, and it arrived in a very timely fashion!! I am always pleased with simple things. I would recommend it to a friend who is looking for one.

Love the way it looks with the Chemex since I leave the container out on my coffee bar. It keeps dust or lint out of the coffee pot so I don't have to rinse before using. and also looks pretty! I don't leave coffee sitting for long periods of time so it is not necessary to keep it warm so only for keeping it clean!

Not really much of an addition to the system

Sets in the funnel top without any retention. If you forget, it ends up in your coffee cup with a big splash. Should have a section that engages the neck so that you have to pull it out.

Looks nice, works okay.

The cover fits reasonably well in the standard-size Chemex considering there's no notch or ring to hold the cover in pace. It will cover everything but the pour channel, so you'll still get some heat loss, but much less than you would with no cover. The all-glass cover also complements the Chemex vase well, so it looks nice.However, because it's all glass, it won't stay in place when you pour. You'll have to either hold it in place or remove it to keep it from ending up in your coffee mug. Despite this, I still consider it more convenient than having to pour the whole Chemex into another carafe.

How much higher is the chemex with the cover on?

It doesn’t stick up past the rim of the 8 cup Chemex.

Zero. It sits below the rim.

The chemex does not any higher because the cover fits into the neck right over the opening. It's pretty nice.
