First 5***** Coffee maker we’ve ever owned!

Excellent coffee machine - it is wonderful to be able to get 1 cup or 1/2 cup of coffee any time we want. No wasted coffee - you use exactly what you need. My husband loves having Espresso whenever he wants it - no fuss, no muss.Glad we bought this coffee maker! We’ve been married 43 years and have gone thru a lot of coffee makers/pots…. Best Ever!!

Not bad

It took some experimenting but I pretty much have the coffee to my taste (strong large cup plus strong short cup). The only issue I have is , that the top of the machine does not heat up at all, not even Luke warm.

Give it a shot!

I fell in love with the larger Magnifica at a friend's home. So, I decided to try this version. I have purchased 2 Saeco Superautomatics prior to switching to DeLonghi. To be honest, I was disappointed at first. I thought I made a big mistake. It functions very easily with minimal sound. I am used to a much louder machine. This was a pleasant surprise.I also thought the coffee was way too weak even at the strongest setting. I decided to try different beans and to add a shot of espresso to a cup of coffee and now I am satisfied!I am thrilled with the machine after 1 week and look forward to waking to a delicious and satisfying cappuccino. The coffee is really delicious and the foam is super creamy as described - I use only whole milk.I would definitely recommend this machine to anyone. It does not take up a great amount of counter space either. My kitchen is 10x10 and it fits in perfectly. Also, I feel this machine is not "testy" like the Saeco Xsmall - althugh that is also a great machine. If you want a simple machine that makes sophisticated coffee - this is for you!

Closer to a 5...

I only gave it 4 because partials aren't an option. I'm really happy with this guy. I like that it signals empty tank, full grounds, and scaling. Only minor complaint is making sure the coffee is ramped to get into the grinder. I may consider removing the safety hat.

Great first week

So far so good. The coffee is delicious. Set up was easy, even though we are still learning how to dial in the settings to personalize for us. Seattle Coffee Gear service is great.

I have had the machine for less than a month and the descaling light went on. I do have a DeLongi filter in the water tank. Does it need descaling that soon?Jim

I noticed after I use the steam wand it leaks hot water into the drip tray is it supposed to happen?

Customer

MINE KEEPS THINKING I NEED TO ADD GROUND COFFEE, I HAVE THE BEAN HOPPER FULL, BUT EVERY OTHER CUP I TRY TO BREW I GET AN ERROR THAT THE GROUND COFFEE IS EMPTY , I HAVE NEVER USED GROUND COFFEE ALWAYS WHOLE BEAN AND THE DIAL IS NOT TURNED ANYWHERE CLOSE TO THE PRE GROUND

Stve

I have noticed this too, just a few little drips. I don't think this is a problem; maybe just va bit of condensation from the steam

Rich f.

I rarely use it for steam, but when I use it for hot water, I have to leave it there briefly after I shut it off.

I'm sorry, I haven't used mine yet. I'm stranded in Virginia with a broken ankle and haven't gotten the chance to use mine yet. Good luck!
