Key Features

  • Strong Brewing Performance: The Magnifica's exclusive brew group is compact and provides excellent heat distribution to guarantees a perfect espresso at the ideal temperature every time.
  • Double Boiler: Thanks to the stainless steel double boiler, the inside is easy to maintain and keep clean. We recommend descaling the boilers every two to three months to ensure all mineral deposits are removed. Descaling is very easy to do and is outlined in a few simple steps in the manual that is included with the machine.
  • Instant Reheat: This special function heats the core of the Magnifica, ensuring the machine is always at the ideal temperature for espresso, no matter how long the interval between cups.
  • Removable Water Tank and Bean Container: DeLonghi knows that the counter space in your kitchen is always at a premium. The Magnifica allows you to fill the water tank and empty the coffee grounds without moving the machine. All of the controls are at the front of the machine, from the on/off switch to the cappuccino system.
  • Integrated Burr Grinder: You can set the grinding level to customize your espresso. The Magnifica 3300 has a bypass doser for use with ground coffee.
  • Cappuccino System: The patented cappuccino system rotates 180 degrees to allow for any size milk container.
  • Front Panel: The Magnifica ESAM3300 allows you to customize your coffee by adjusting the quantity of water and amount of ground coffee to suit your taste: long or short, weak or strong.

Loving it

Loving the simplicity of having espresso ??

Super, super automatic espresso!

The super automatic aspect of the DeLonghi Magnifico espresso machine is divine, as is the espresso it produces. Currently I'm using Honeybee espresso beans.

Different results now.

However after making a lot of coffees, it has begun to produce rather burnt tasting coffee. I have tried increasing the grind.

Great machine. Hot, perfect espresso every time. This machine puts coffee shops to shame.

Love the Machine!

We got this to replace an older Magnifica that was starting to leak, after 10 years or so.This out performs the old one, is quieter, makes great coffee. I do miss the Americano button on the old one, but one single espresso and one double, set for the right quantity of water, does the trick.

nice little machine

Purchased to replace a 5+ year-old Incanto Deluxe on recommendation from my brother and after watching the SCG crew review.. Overall Impression: Very easy to get up and running, and to dial in to cappuccinos the way I like them. I much prefer its panarello to the Incanto's by quite a bit. The machine easy to refill (which is good because the tank and hopper are smaller), and cleans easily. The brew unit's design suggests that it, too, will be easier to keep clean than Saeco's. I'm still getting used to the sounds: Incanto sounded like a machine; ESAM sounds like a computer -- and the water pump sounds like it wants to break into Teenage Wasteland when the machine turns on.Pros: Great coffees, easy to clean, grinder is not as noisy as rumored (imo); looks good on the counter. My negatives on the machine so far are relatively minor: I wish that it accepted water filters (the descale notice came on after a week); I wish that it were possible to turn off the cup heater (unless the heat is supplied by the boiler, in which case there's no energy drain), and that there were a stand-by mode or the auto-off could be adjusted downward from three hours.Oh, yeah, I do wish I could take the brew unit out to clean it without first shutting down the machine. That's occasionally a nuisance.

Excellent value and quality

The value on this machine was too great to pass up, so I decided to take a chance. I've had it for 3 days now and have been extremely happy with everything. The machine aesthetically and mechanically looks and works as new, and the espresso is delicious. I will update my review of anything changes, but as of now I am incredibly happy with everything.

Love this machine

We were consuming alot of coffee with our old nespresso machine. We decided that we wanted to pick our own beans and brew our own espresso. We caught this on sale for a refurb last year. Greatest purchase ever and we save so much money by buying beans and not pods. Also great for the environment.

One of Best Machines Available for the $$$

I have owned some other machines from Saeco etc. And this machine is by far the best. I liked it so much we purchased a second machine from SCG.Regarding DeLonghi CS, when I bought our first machine, it arrived with a cracked water tank and DeLonghi sent me a new one! Others may have had a bad experience, but I can say nothing negative, only positive. The second machine I bought was refurbed from SCG and I have it at my other living space where I am attending Grad School. The guy I live with used to be a Barista at one of the major espresso chains that we all know. He said hands down the DeLonghi ESAM 3300 makes the best coffee he has ever drank! If I absolutely had to say something negative about the ESAM 3300, the only things is that it is a bit loud. My wife says that sometimes the grounds get stuck in odd places on the inside, but then get fixed when she cleans it...All in all, the good FAR outweighs the bad. Thanks!

Excellent Entry Level Superautomatic

Coming from a Saeco Vienna and most recently a Saeco Odea Giro, this machine is definitely different. The build quality is better with metal parts where it matters (drip tray). It's better looking on the counter too. It is louder on the grind than the Saecos. The Panarello wand works better, but the angle (or lack thereof) limits pitcher options & depth. The spout height limits cup size more than the Odea Giro. This machine features a bypass doser which is nice at this price point. Compared to the Saecos, the water reservoir is smaller and the post warm-up test uses about 4 ounces (which seems excessive). The shutdown rinse uses about an ounce so you're pushing more water through the machine that's not being consumed compared to some machines. This means you're filling it more often. My Saecos were always needing maintenance. The brew group mechanism on this machine seems to be more simplistic in its design. The brew group is approximately 1/2 the size in comparison and I am hoping that will prove to be more reliable over time.

I DO NOT Recommend this Machine.

My expresso machine was new and broke down after only 7 months of use. It took 8 phone calls over a three week period to finally talk to someone at DeLonghi that could help. It took over 3 1/2 months for them to fix it because they could not find a control board for it. After receiving it from the repair shop the pump went out on it after another 2 months of use. By this time it was 3 weeks out of warranty and they wouldn't fix it. I did not buy my DeLonghi Magnifica ESAM3300 machine from this company. The DeLonghi customer service is by far the worst I have ever had to deal with.

DeLonghi Magnifica ESAM3300 Superautomatic Espresso Machine - Refurbished

I bought this a few months ago, the refurbished model. I cannot see paying thousands of dollars for an espresso machine since this one works beautifully. It creates wonderful espresso beverages which are comparable and often superior to Starbucks and other vendors. That is because of consistency and you can dial up the concentration of the brew. Highly highly highly recommended!

Pretty great machine!

I have an inexpensive semiautomatic machine at home, which I have been pretty satisfied with. I bought this machine to take to the office, thinking that a superautomatic would be easy for everyone to use, would take up a bit less counter space since the grinder is built-in, and would be a nice little perk. Well... I wish I hadn't mentioned it to anyone so that I could just keep it for myself! I didn't expect to like it this much. It is really easy to use, very consistent, and produces wonderful espresso and steamed milk. I expected to miss the ritual (and control) of grinding my own beans, tamping them down, brewing, steaming, etc, but when this machine does all of that as well (or better) than I do... The only drawbacks are that it is pretty noisy and it uses a lot of water. Noise: it's not really the grinding part that is the noisiest, as I expected. Rather, it is the sound of the pump that kicks on when it is flushing itself out before and after pulling a shot, or when using the steamer. It makes sort of a "whump whump whump" sound that is pretty loud. It also makes a disconcerting "crunch" sound in the infuser when it is tamping the puck and again when it finishes. Water use: I drink one double shot latte per day, but I have to refill the water reservoir every other day because it uses so much during the warm up cycle and again when it flushes itself before turning off. I just hope that this will add to the longevity of the machine. All in all, though, it's a great machine and I'm going to be very sad when I take it to our new office next week!

auto shutoff is time programmable. if so how long?

Customer

Not programmable. Stays on for a few hours before it shuts down.

Kristen H.

It is set at three hours.

Serge P.v.D.P.

The DeLonghi Magnifica will automatically shut down after 2 hours of no use. I have not try yet if that option is programmable. You should also avoid using oily beans. Try to use "dry beans"...you may want top check out a web site for "Fresh roasted coffee". They have a plethora of various whole bean coffees available. They are not cheap but the coffee is very good. Oily beans will not smoothly fill the grinding container in the machine and you may have to use some sort of wooden "stick" to move the beans into the grinding container. I hope that helps a little.

do I have to use distilled water?

Joshua S.

Nope! In fact, we don't recommend distilled water, since it lacks many of the minerals that complement good coffee flavor. Instead, simple Brita filtered or bottled water is a great alternative to keep scale build up low.

jeffrey e.

does this have auto rinse feature?

Serge P.v.D.P.

Yes and no! I know that sounds weird but you can press a button on the bottom row, second from the right and it will rinse the fluid that is in the system. You may want to do this twice; however, you may need to decalcify the system when the last light on the left of the bottom row comes on. You can purchase the EcoDecalk or decalcification fluid from DeLonghi web page... Usually, I had to clean the entire system every 5-8 weeks, depending how often you use the machine... Try to avoid coffee beans that are "oily"...Just my two cents opinion based on my experience. Cheers, Serge.

Alena P.

Yes, It has auto rinse.

Customer

It automatically purges quite a bit of water out of the system when you turn it on and also a short automatic purge when you shut it down.

Customer

Yes, when you first turn it on it will send water that helps heat it and rinse the machine. When you turn it off, it does the same thing.

Customer

The machine rinses itself during power-on and power-off.

Veronica V.D.

I currently have a Saeco Intuita. It has a 30 minute auto-shutoff which dispenses a small amount of water (and drives me crazy in the morning.) Does this machine have an auto-shutoff feature like that? And if so, what is the power-down time window?

Joshua S.

Yep! The ESAM3300 also has an auto shut-off time with a rinse cycle. Luckily, it is set for 3 hours of inactivity.Hope this helps!

J
Jennifer U.

What is the difference between the ECAM22110B and the ESAM3300??

Joshua S.

The ESAM3300 is an older model than the 22110B, but offers better control over coffee dosing than the former. Hope this helps!
