This coffee is great! It is smooth, without an oily aftertaste. I enjoy it in the morning with steamed whole milk and a dash of chocolate syrup.I grind it on a 41 in my Oracle.
Great smooth flavor. No after taste. You can taste the notes of the chocolate and caramel lyrics flavor. I would get it again!
Wonderful
Taste of your coffee is great. And the delivery process is always without hassle.
Flavor was good. Was so fresh it was unstable at first as kept having to change my grind settings. Let it set about a week and grind was stable after that.
Rather bland.I won't be ordering more of this.
Outstanding smooth coffee. I look forward to waking up and sipping on a hot cup of bear hug every morning. But it's so good, I have another before lunch and another in the afternoon. I'm not a big coffee drinker, it just tastes that good.
It's too mild for me. Would be very nice for someone who likes a medium roast.
I had such high hopes and excitement to try this new caramely coffee in my new espresso machine! I don't know if I got a bad bag or what but I tried 3 times to pull good espresso shots with it...I know I prepped my portafilter right and had good fine grind size for it and it tastes just like lemon juice was squeezed in it:( So awful ..sour and bitter:( It actually smells slightly sour in the bag of beans that had remained sealed until I opened to use for my espresso. We then tried it in just a drip coffee pot and same thing. So it is not operator error. So disappointed. Sadly I cannot recommend.
I?m a relatively new super auto owner. My husband and I really liked this brew. We?ve tried maybe two other beans in our machine, and this is our fav so far. Good flavor but also smooth.
I love it, but don't you dare buy it. It's all mine.
I purchased Dogwood coffee -Bear Hug at the same time I ordered my Phillips 3200 latte-go Super-automatic coffee maker. It is my absolute favorite- in fact, I now have a subscription for this coffee in order to keep it in stock at home! It is super-auto friendly and not oily at all. LOVE!
While I recognize a flavor most aficionados may love, it was a little acidic and not for me.
Used exclusively in my superauto machine; a nice blend.
This is currently my favorite roast to use.
Made great expresso, longs and even coffee that my wife liked which is hard to do!
This is a smooth coffee but does not pack the same deep flavors of either Tony?s Coffee - Sugar Bee Expresso or Lavazza Super Cremates Espresso. Bear Hug is for someone who wants a milder cup of espresso
I found it to be very weak coffee. Also, the price is high for the amount they send you.
Made an excellent latte' on my ROCKET espresso machine. I will purchase again.
Very happy with these well-reviewed beans. We?ve used them in our Moccamaster and in our Miele super-automatic, with excellent results in each.
You need to get this. Best foe great drinks
Very delicious and full of chocolate notes. Would buy again.
This is a good espresso but not super flavorful. Although the taste is very good, it is too light for me in my espresso machine. Despite very fine grinding in the Mignon Specialita, it pulls a shot in 20-25 seconds. If you want a milder espresso, this would be fine but not for those of us wanting a full body, deep espresso or cappuccino.
Fantastic coffee!! This is the best coffee. We try other types and brands, but we always come back to this!
I cannot believe it but it actually did have notes of chocolate. I asked my partner if he had made me a mocha. Wow!
I always try to order from a new roaster each time I'm out of beans for my Crossland espresso machine. Bear Hug was so good it made me want to break that tradition and order it again. Must try!
I really do like this blend. It is very chocolaty with some berry overtones. Makes a great espresso, lungo and americano. It is so good that I have to limit myself. Good as a Latte and cappuccino. I especially enjoy it as a Cafe au lait. Very comforting indeed. I highly recommend this one and will be ordering more.
Lovely bean. Better than Tony's sugar bee. Sweet and smooth. Definitely has the chocolate tones and blends well with milks. Favorite bean we have tried in our superauto so far! This will definitely be a staple in our home.
I love am espresso early in the morn. Bear hug has a thick crema, a pleasing texture and a sweet finish. I have purchased it twice, will definitely put it on my 'regular' shipping list.
I love everything about this coffee.
I tried 8 different espressos and this one is my favorite - its low key, seems less acidic, drinks comfortably, smells hygge and tastes chocolaty. Brewed on Breville Bambino non-pressurized basket with its less-than-ideal milk function (I have not been able to texture with much trying and accepted what it has to offer.) The Breville Smart grinder seems to choke a little on these beans (does not on others).
We ordered 3 bags of espresso and this one, by far was our favorite. Not acidic with a really bold flavor. We used it in a Breville express for cortados and really enjoyed it!
What grind setting is best for this espresso?
With my Breville Smart Grinder Pro, I found that 16 was the best grind setting for pulling espresso with these beans. Hope this helps!
