Like EOM.

Identical to the original double portafilter basket. It is useful to have more than one, especially when you have guests and are cranking out espresso drinks for breakfast.

Love this basket!

I didn't realize that replacing my old, original filter basket could have such a big improvement in the quality of the espresso I brew. Awesome upgrade at a low cost!

Will this basket fit my bottomless portafilter I use on my Gaggia classic pro?

This filter doesn't fit. Is it the spring? I use another rigdeless filter (not original) and it fits. What should I do?

Seattle Coffee Gear

Hi there, I also am sorry you are having a problem with the filter basket fit. I have a Silvia from probably 8-10 years ago and have purchased replacement parts for "my baby" during this COVID craziness so that I can have my morning latte just how I like it. I purchased the very same filter basket and I also bought another double portafilter (V3 style). The basket does fit snug but it fits. So check that you have the a portafilter with an inside diameter of 58 mm. If so then this will fit and then I recommend just some hot water and give it a shove for the first time or two. I had to remove it with a sharp knife to kind of pry it out of the portafilter the first few times but now it fits like "butta". I hope you do get some joy on this because honestly, coffee is everything these days. Much luck to you.

Sorry you are having a problem. I would check your group handle. We use a bottomless handle and have never experienced an issue. The group and the basket are both Rancillio.

It might be tight.....have you tried forcing it. When it snaps in....use it a lot. It might break in.

Is this single or double wall? I want to go bottomless.

The double basket on my original Silvia is marked 17g. The new one I got for the current Silvia (l16) has no weight marking and appears smaller, In fact, pulling my first few shots on it does in fact seem to hold less cofflee. Any comment on this?

John W.

Only markings on my original and replacement say 40-100-102. Not sure if that helps or what that number means.
