This works well to catch ground coffee as it comes out of the chute of the Eureka grinder, but not well at all as a coffee receptacle for weighing your beans on a scale before grinding. The opening is too narrow to add beans without spilling, regardless of how you do that. (A simple low bowl, like a footed cafe au lait bowl works well for both functions, and with my Moccamaster I just put a paper filter in the filter holder, rinse it so it's both rinsed AND sticks to the sides of the filter holder [which keeps ground coffee from ending up in the carafe], then set it under the chute and grind directly into the filter.)It's nice looking, and there's a rubber ring on the underside that's a nice addition for sound deadening purposes when you set it down, but it's just glued on and came off after the first trip through the dishwasher. (No big deal to me, but that rubber ring was glued on in a very cheap fashion like a knock-off product made in China.)What IS nice about it is the narrow opening does make it useful for pouring just ground coffee into my Kalita dripper/filter when I make pour over coffee, and without getting grounds between the paper filter and the side of the dripper.Add a fashioned funnel of some kind to the top of this when pouring in coffee beans and it works okay. Or time consumingly scoop coffee beans into it (and you're still likely to spill some on and around the scale because the opening IS quite narrow).Would I buy it again? Probably not, since now I'm using a Loveramics dosing tray (the larger of the two sizes) on the scale for the coffee before grinding AND this cup after grinding; and now have to clean (and have storage space for) both.It also must have a wild bit of markup for the company since I can't imagine it cost more than $4-6 to make. It's decent quality, but it's not like the quality of products from Alessi that somewhat justify their relatively high costs even if they are sometimes more design-oriented than functional.Basically the only reason I'm still using this is that narrow opening allows me to pour ground coffee into my Kalita filter/dripper without any ground coffee ending up between the filter and the dripper, but I'm sure in time I'll come across another solution and this will gather dust, unused, in the back of a cupboard.
