Overview

Please Note: You can check your Jura's compatibility with specific filters by viewing the dial color on the water tank's lid. The color of the dial is the Jura water filter that is the appropriate fit for your machine.

The Clearyl water filter will reduce water hardness up to 75%, as well as removing large percentages of chlorine, lead, copper, and aluminum.

This filter was previously called the Clearyl 75. The filter is exactly the same, only the name and packaging have changed.

Jura Machine Compatibility

Clearyl White (formerly Clearyl 75) Water Filter replacement typically works with the following Jura espresso machines:

  • Jura Fully Automatic Coffee Center models E8, E9, F7 (older model #13185), F60, J5, J9, S9 One Touch, S9 Avantgarde, S7 Avantgarde, Z5, Z6, Z7.
  • Also fits Jura C9 models with a black lid and white dial covering the filter in the water tank.
  • If your machine is a refurbished model, please check the water tank's lid dial color before purchasing. Regardless of your model number, your water tank may have been replaced with a newer version and require the Blue filter, not the White.

Great Product/Service

Filters are a very important part of making good coffee. Keep the machine clean and working and this helps to achieve that. A must if you have an espresso machine. The coffee tastes so good after the filter is changed.

Great product great service

I have a Jura Capresso. I Love it! Even though it is initially expensive, I figure the cost per cup is about .15c. It has more than paid for itself in the 3-4 years I've had it. The filters are important to keep the machine working properly and the coffee tasting great Seattle coffee company has a great price on these filters and has always given me excellent prompt service.Pros:Great Taste, Easy To UseCons:None

Worth every penny

We only use coffee beans from Europe. The filter surely does it job - provide pure water for my coffee, not alter my coffee taste, and yet keep my coffee machine going.Pros:Great TasteCons:

Check the color of the dial/lid in your water tank for the right filter type.

what does "ph-coffee neutral" mean on the reverse side of the wrapper? Does it mean the water ph going into machine turns 7.0 or above?

Robert B.

It means does not add to the acidity or alkalinity of the coffee being brewed.

Peter Y.

I honestly don't know...wish I did! My ASSUMPTION is that neither the filter nor its contents contribute to a greater degree of acidity or alkalinity of the water (or the coffee brewed from it).

Kandence

Bottom line:It means the unique taste of a particular coffee bean will not be affected by the water's pH. In that the filter has made sure that the water will be within the standard criteria of a normal pH of water. Hope this helps. I always use this filter for my Jura Capressa, and have always been pleased. In general, a water with a pH 7 is considered basic. The normal range for pH in surfacewater systems is 6.5 to 8.5 and for groundwater systems 6 to 8.5. Alkalinity is a measure of the capacity of the water to resists a change in pH that would tend to make the water more acidic.

Dana J.

A ph above 7 means your water is hard, that is, it contains lime and other minerals that raise the ph. This filter is "tough on lime scale" and it removes the scale as the water leaves the main tank. Apparently the filter brings down the ph to neutral (7) in the process of collecting lime and other hard water minerals. If you have soft water - the ph is lower than 7 - the charcoal in the filter will also help neutralize the ph and bring it back to 7.
