You probably instantly recognize Lavazza, since it’s one of the world’s biggest and most beloved coffee roasters. But did you know that Lavazza is also one of the oldest coffee roasters, too? It was founded in 1895 by Luigi Lavazza and is still administered by the Lavazza family today. That means they’ve had over 100 years to perfect their craft!
For Lavazza Packaging Changes, Lavazza says: "We are constantly reevaluating our portfolio to offer the best assortment, experience, and taste to our customers." - Updates to the design of the packaging is common, if you have any concerns please let us know and we can verify you have the correct item.
For Lavazza's compressed or slightly puffy packaging on whole bean coffee, Lavazza says: "All bags of Lavazza coffee are fitted with a patented one-way valve allowing air and naturally occurring gases to exit the bag, while preventing oxygen from entering. This patented technology preserves freshness and the organoleptic properties of all Lavazza whole bean coffee. For pre-ground coffee, Lavazza says: "All bricks of Lavazza coffee are fully sealed when shipped by our warehouse. If you squeeze the brick and no air exits, the seal is fully intact and the brick of coffee is fully sealed and there is no impact on freshness or preservation."

Buonissimo
Excellent
Lovely flavor and aroma. Very fine grind, almost a powder, which is ideal for my espresso machine. And quite potent due to 80% Robusta beans!???
Nothing beats a great tasting coffee except for the aroma of a fresh brew before the first sip.
Love love this roast! Bold yet smooth and very satisfying to drink.
I have been using this coffee for years and I love it. I was very disappointed that Espressozone went out of business. Fortunately, Espressozone led to me to Seattle Coffee Gear. I am very pleased with their service.
excellent coffee, great price
I especially like the smell of Lavazza Crema e Gusto as the shot are being pulled. Great chocolate smell and the taste is exceptional.

Good price and reasonable shipping - delivered promptly.I purchased from SeattleCoffeeGear because I wanted to be sure I received fresh, authentic Lavazza coffee.
I love my lavazza cream de gusto an Seattle coffee is so fast on their shipping I will always use them!
Our cousin who lives in Washington state got us hooked on Crema eGusto on a trip a few years back, since then we are big fans of it. The wife and I and many of our family members simply enjoy this expresso so much so that I will buy 20 packs at a time to ensure we have enough to last us about 4 to 5 months.I'm certain that there are other exceptional grounds out there but we truly perfer Crema eGusto. Thanks Seattle Coffee Gear!!!
I use this coffee in my drip machine. I have an exacting process that I use to produce a spectacular cup every time and the Crema e Gusto blend from Lavazza lends itself beautifully to this pursuit. There is no bitterness that I can detect, making this coffee perfect for blending with milk and/or sugar for a noonday pickup or simply taking black upon waking. I have found this blend tastes best when prepared at full strength, poured into a small cup (regular coffee sized cup works best, not a giant mug or a tiny espresso cup) and given two tablespoons of coarse dark brown sugar and enough milk or creme to change the colour visibly. Why pay 5 bucks a day for an overpriced latte or espresso when you can make one for pennies a day with a coffee maker and Lavazza Crema e Gusto?
I have tried various ground Lavazzas - cafe espresso, perfetto and now Crema e gusto. I have also tried illy dark, Peets espresso forte and Starbucks blend and even cafe bustello (too much acidity for me) over the past 6 months since returning from a European vacation. Yes all pre ground. I know what can I say got to get to work in time in the am take out and feed the dogs you get the idea no time to morning grind. That being said I've now tried crema e gusto In a Moka espresso pot (perfect as I believe Robusto above stated, creamy and rich (and yes a tiny bit bitter but hey I wake up early so that gets me gong) fench press - not as good a bit too fine perhaps if I placed a filter paper below the press? And a nespresso Virtuoline with refilled capsules. Also perfect. More creamy and rich then any of the nespresso brands I have tried to date. I will be buying more, but skipping the French press for this grind.
Lavazza's crema e gusto is a fine ground. The crema is thick and uniform, there are chocolaty notes, and it's not overy bitter. Subliminal stuff!
Use in my coffee maker. Tried different coffee (brands / combinations). This one is even better the most top-branded ones.
Couldn't ask for better. Exactly what I wanted!
Worth a try if you're just getting into the espresso game - good for the value. Flavor was a little flat for me, I personally prefer the Illy dark roast as far as lower end pre-ground coffees go. It did, however, produce a nice crema consistently and others seem to enjoy it. Next step up would be going for something freshly ground/roasted.
coming from italy there are better espresso's but good
just came back from italy and had espresso that was stronger and better quality, then again it is always better when it comes from there.....
I am Italian and therefore I know what is a cup of espressocoffee made with "Lavazza Crema e Gusto" - fantastic! No bitter flavor in this coffee, only a creamy, rich flavour. Ilove it and I am so happy I was able to obtain it thru yourcompany which I found professional and efficient. Grazie! I already passed it around to the rest of my family. Ciao! Lia
ok, this espresso is a very good price but you do get what you paid for. I'd rather fork over a couple extra dollars for the Lavazza Super Crema 2.2lb bag as it produces a perfect crema and has a beautiful non-bitter chocolaty taste to it. The Crema e Gusto does produce a fine crema but is a little more bitter than I could enjoy. Truly all coffee reviews are simply personal preferences. I would recommend this coffee to one who loves a good crema and doesn't mind bitterness.
Bought this on the recommendation of a SCG customer service rep and was pleasantly surprised that at such a reasonable price how flavorful it is. The crema is rich and thick. You can actually distinguish the 3 different strata if you do the shot in a clear glass. We have local roasters here in Miami so we have brands such as Pilon and Bustelo that cost as much as the Crema E Gusto, but they are way below its quality. I wish I could buy it locally and have it fresh all the time.
First coffee I used with our Saeco Via Venezia, and we're happy as two clambs. I gave one package as a gift, and they are so pleased with the taste, they have ordered more for themselves, now, I must order more for myself!!I found the first sip to be a little strong, however, I let it sit for a few seconds, and then it was heaven.I love my coffee and expresso to be very rich with lotta flavor, this coffee has it all!
Makes decent cup of coffee for a preground product. Not sure I would purchase again though.Pros:Cons:
It's the best espresso for making cappuccino. I enjoy it everyday!Pros:Cons:
After trying various local beans at varying grind levels, I was disappointed w/the crema produced compared w/videos I had seen reviewing the Brikka. I found some of the comments suggested this brew so I purchased here (good price,[...]. I can now say with satisfaction Crema e Gusto is a superb match for the Brikka. Excellent crema, excellent taste, quick to use b/c I don't need to grind. The crema is quite dense as well, you can spoon a hearty amount of sugar on top & watch it slowly sink in once terminal mass is reached.A tip for fellow (2-cup) Brikka users: only fill the grinds funnel 1/2 full. This optimizes the crema production while still producing a full-flavored shot. And be aware, you will have a very small amount of leftover grinds in your demitasse since this is ground more for espresso machines. However, this does not detract from the enjoyment.Pros:Great Taste, Easy To UseCons:Some grounds left in cup
