Lavazza Dek Decaf Espresso Pods offer an aromatic, well-balanced blend from Brazil and Asia with the convenience of a pod. Full-bodied, long-lasting flavor for those who want to avoid caffeine without giving up the delicious aroma and pleasure of Italian coffee.

Lavazza uses a modern process of decaffeination with carbon dioxide that does not diminish the flavor and aroma of the roasted coffee beans, a potential downfall of the Swiss water process. The use of carbon dioxide and pure water also avoids the use of potentially harmful substances in the decaffeination process.

This patented technology preserves freshness and the organoleptic properties of all Lavazza whole bean coffee. Depending on where the bag was placed on the pallet during transport, you may receive either a puffy or compressed bag, however both of the presentations are vacumm sealed."

For pre-ground coffee, Lavazza says: "All bricks of Lavazza coffee are fully sealed when shipped by our warehouse. If you squeeze the brick and no air exits, the seal is fully intact and the brick of coffee is fully sealed and there is no impact on freshness or preservation."

Great decaf pods. If you would like decaf with a lot of flavor I recommend these.

Do not work in Solis® Barista Perfetta, as advertised

They did not work in the Solis Barista Perfetta espresso machine that I also bought from Seattle Coffee Gear. I didn't want to buy another grinder to be able to have decaf on occasion. This espresso machine advertises that it can use a pod and I used the special group head insert provided. Unfortunately, the pressure only built to about 6 psi and it produced a watery shot in about 5 seconds. Undrinkable. Now I have the rest of the box I have to discard. However, if you are looking for a pod that will work, get Illy E.S.E. Coffee - Single-Serve Coffee Capsules & Pods - Classico Decaf Roast. They work and taste great! I wish SCG carried Illy so I could buy them there.

No better ESE Decaf Pod.

Fantastic!No mess or clean up when you want a quick Decaf.Make sure to have a ESE basket or a single pressurized basket.Also, the filter block Cafestol Oil which has helped me lower my Cholesterol.

These Pods are not easy to find. I have an oscar pro in my house so I buy in bulk,A single pod for a small cup is perfect and I use two for a tall. Great flavor. If you buy in bulk with free shipping its less than a dollar for a tall and less than .50 for a small. This the second time I have ordered and the box seems like it has lasted forever. I will continue to buy as long as they sell them.Dawn

Very Good!

I make an espresso shake: Put 4 scoops of frozen yogurt in a blender and add 6 ounces of hot espresso. Blend. Top with whipped cream and drizzle with Monin dark chocolate sauce. My family LOVES these!! The only bad thing is that they are addicting! I also like iced coffe with the pods. I like the ground coffe for hot drinks.Pros:Great Taste, Easy To UseCons:None
