Overview
Lavazza Qualita Rossa Espresso is a full bodied espresso. The African Robusta coffee beans give it body and a chocolate aroma, while the natural Arabica from the Brazilian highlands contribute body and a mild aroma. Lavazza roasting brings it all together to create a velvety sensation for your palette. It is the perfect blend for breakfast because it goes well with milk-based drinks and is excellent with biscotti or other bakery goodies.

Great tasting coffee. Arrived very promptly. Thanks.
Nutty flavor w/notes of chocolate
Balanced and very easy to prepare! one of my fave
It’s not a new experience to me, it is one of my favorite coffee ??
Great tasting coffee at a good price. Seattle coffee gear is always great!
Nice rich good crema
This is my family’s favorite! I have a Jura and Rossa is the one coffee everyone loves, with or without cream & sugar. Some of us like it brewed a little stronger than others but we all agree it’s wonderful. Very creamy and smooth no harsh bitterness. All of our friends come over and request a cup of coffee too. Ive tried alot of the lavazza beans and our other choice is the Super Crema. Best coffee at home and worth every penny!!
As you may know, oily beans do not work well in a super automatic coffee machine. Having grown up with espresso, I have always been a fan of a darker roast. I could not however use an oily being in my machine. I tried many different coffees and roasts, and settled on this particular one from Lavazza. You can Brew this coffee as strong as you like, and it will not be bitter. It has a low acid content, which is something that I very much enjoy. Produces a beautiful Crema when brewed. I love this coffee.
I really like this coffee. It is smooth, light and a refreshing espresso bean. I know there are others but this one seems to make a good cup…not that I have my grinder settings set.
Big fan of this for drip coffee (using a Breville YouBrew). Great aroma and full flavored cup with or without cream and sugar. The only beans that come close that I've tried are the darker, oilier Kicking Horse blends. The only reason I'm not giving three sets of 5 starts is that I don't like having to buy 4.4 pounds of coffee in order cut the shipping cost.
Love this coffee, and I will be enjoying it for a long time. I've also ordered another in the Lavazza line. I'm recommending Seattle Coffee Gear to all of my coffee-loving friends. I'm enjoying all of their products. The Airscape Coffee Bean Canisters are the perfect storage containers for the coffee beans. I wish I had discovered SCG sooner!
The taste is okay, but a bit boring when compared to the super crema. I don't care for it.
I am rather new to making espresso at home and have wasted, thrown away, or drank way too much bad espresso. I even considered giving up making it at home until I experienced Lavazza Rossa. I can't believe the difference the right coffee can make. Now I am a happy espresso lover!
By Lavazza standards for sure, this coffee provides a great espresso! 9.25/10 for me, it is full-bodied without being too acidic, a nice medium roast that won't clog up the grinder, and great crema that lends a distinctly chocolatey flavor when paired with low fat milk.
While I am sure it is good bean, and the taste is acceptable, it is not nearly as strong on my SAECO as a good espresso in any of the coffee shops. I have had it for a month but I have yet to be happy with my cup of coffee.
percentage of arabica to Robusta?
