This is a little nitpicky and my review is based on things that many home baristas won't care about, but I'm from the commercial world and work as a barista and own a business as a repair tech. Functionally and aesthetically this is a beautiful piece; if I could give it a broken down review by categories this would easily get a 5 for how it looks sitting on my bar. That said, I do not like having to remove the knock bar to be able to fit my hand into the box to pull out and inspect the puck for consistency, which is absolutely essential when dialing in new beans. The knock area is very small which is nice if you only have a small amount of space to dedicate to your espresso setup; however I find it a little annoying to have to actually think about what I'm doing when trying to clear the puck from the basket. This is a heavy piece, it will not fall over when knocking, the knockbox works, and if you had limited to no experience with commercial knockboxes you'd be happy as a clam with this; in fact I'd recommend it to anyone that just needs a small profile knockbox and I'll definitely be keeping it as part of my collection even when I do replace it with a trashcan knockbox. This is either going to be a 3 or a 5 star product depending on your needs and experience and recommendation of this product should be based on assessment of the buyer's experience and priorities. I would likely not recommend or even sell this to anyone that has worked in a commercial shop unless they plan on using it for tool organization or something.
