Simple, small and does what it says on the tin.

Does what its supposed to do just fine. Has a lil' rubber cover that your cup sits on for easy cleaning and perhaps a lil' lateral shift to make sure your cup is where you want it under the portafilter.

It's amazingly accurate and consistent, what else do you need from a scale?

This scale is great, and the beep sets it apart.

This scale is fantastic. The auditory feedback (beep) is seriously useful for the capacitive touch buttons.

Accurate, easy to use, but poor documentation

Overall this is a nice scale and very accurate but the level of "undocumented features" are really annoying. As a scale it works perfectly, but the tiny few pages of documentation included are enough to turn it on and use it. What is not documented in the instructions includes:- The ability to change from ounces, to milliliters, to grams (had this happen to me, and it took a lot of random button pressing and turning on/off to figure out how to go back to grams)- What the battery indicator means (solid=battery is fine, blinking=battery needs to be charged). There is no real time battery meter. At this price point this is inexcusable.I'm 99.99% sure there are other undocumented features on this scale but there is simply no way to know what they are without the manufacturer providing information.

Very consistent and accurate. The rubber mat dissipates the heat well and keeps the gloss finish scratch free. A little frustrating to change the measurement units, but all in all a great scale and a huge upgrade from my basic Hario.

Great scale no real complaints. It gets pretty dirty from spraying (not an issue if your shot doesn't channel) but its glass so you can just clean it lol.

Small, precise, and easy to use with its high refresh rate.

The Lucca scale is especially convenient for our set up with a separate grinder and espresso machine. Our scale lives on the counter right in front of our grinder. After grinding, we confirm the desired weight. Then we prep the grounds in the portafilter and move the scale to the tray of our espresso machine where it fits nicely under a shot glass with the portafilter in place. The high refresh rate takes the guess work out of the timing for when to stop pulling a shot, enabling consistent results.

Good scale with a few caveats

Having use an over-sized scale for years, I've been eyeing the Acaia line for some time but it stays out of my price range. I saw the Lucca and it fit the bill. Pros - Small size. Simple operation (when set). Reasonable price.Cons - Manual covers basic operation but not other settings. I've managed to change units accidentally and had to trial and error button pushing to get back to g. Also, after about 3 weeks of use, the battery icon started to flash. I assume that meant it needed to be charged. But after 48 hours on a working charger, it is still flashing. I remain hopeful it won't get fully depleted and that there is a charging issue.

Great scale and tip on how to change the units

Reliable, consistent. I have also been using it to measure output when pulling shots which has really helped me dial in my technique and espresso recipes. Hot tip: the manual is very simple which is cool. However, they seem to have forgotten to include how to change the units (does G, OZ, and ML). After a lot of experimentation, I discovered that quickly double-tapping the time button (T with a circle around it) it cycles through the units. It was a bit maddening at first because occasionally I would change the units and have no idea how I had done it. No worries, though, turning it off and on again defaults to grams. I hope this helps someone who was also mystified.

Reliable, consistent weights

Extremely consistent (which is what I was looking for), as well as easy to use.
