Melitta
Legendary German-based coffee filter brand Melitta was founded in 1908 by a housewife named Melitta Bentz in Dresden, Germany. Melitta is credited with inventing the first coffee filter in 1908. This innovative filter design allowed for a larger filtration area, which meant improved extraction. Can this filter be used with the BonaVita 5 cup ok. Any issues. Will I notice better flavor?

Hello, I believe the Bonavita uses flat bottom basket filters, so these cone style filters will not work. These filters are specifically designed for the Melitta Pour Over Dripper.

Does this fit breville precision brewer cone basket?

It does. But it’s shorter. It will work if you use up to 16oz, but can overflow if you’re making more than that.

Is there any plastic used between the paper edges to heat seal where the two paper sides are crimped together? (Apparently nearly all commercial tea bags use very thin plastic "tape" to seal the inner seam you'll find if you deconstruct a standard pre-filled brand tea bag.) I'm guessing these filters are sealed down the sides, but is it done the same way? The description is just that they are made "from" 100% paper, so I get that the paper is, well, paper, but is there a plastic seal too?
