I bought an Onyx variety pack to try a bunch. I'm sipping a cup of Southern Weather as I'm typing this. I'm not a huge fan. Like the other Onyx coffees, it's a very light roast and is quite smooth. But it also has some funky notes that I don't like.

Just wow. Made it in a Bialetti Moka pot and it was simply amazing.

For espresso, I never got the chocolate notes mentioned. (Ran on 64mm SSP burrs). Instead I got citrus, honey, and a floral aroma. Had to dose 22g to get honey. Changed grinder and tried on a conical, and flavor went the wrong way (sour). I think this would be a great pour-over or drip, but i just couldn't get it to cooperate.

Smooth and satisfying. One of the best coffees I've tasted. The only downside is the exorbitant price tag.

Just discovered this blend. Seriously, almost like drinking hot chocolate, it's that delicious. Not a hint of acidic or bitter coffee taste. Just a pleasure to drink every morning. Will be ordering another set of beans and this batch will be exclusively my entire months' supply.-rob

Another overrated roast. I was expecting better for the price. Coffee is personal and this one does not live up to the other reviews in my opinion. Pretty box and only 10oz. Expected smoother. There are better roasts out there for more reasonable prices.

Excellent even taste...nice & smooth...just plain yummy...

While the coffee was tasty, I was not prepared for the size to price ratio. But oh, man... that BOX... mmm soft as butter and velvety in texture! I would highly recommend this coffee if you have extra cash laying around just for the box.

Best blend I've every had. Wonderful flavor, mouthfeel, and aftertaste. A very chugable cup of coffee. This is a coffee I could drink every single day.

Everything I've tried from Onyx has been really good! I am ordering my 3rd bag of Southern Weather and ordering a couple of other roasts from Onyx too. I want to try them all. Methodical roasters is another one where I've loved everything I've tried from them.

Very tasty in my old Pavoni manual machine—not at all bitter!

This is one of my absolute favorite blends for my superauto. It's been consistent across batches, and pairs well with milk or on its own. Very rich and caramel-y.

We are planning a roadtrip that will take us through Arkansas and added an extra loop to the route just so we can visit the Onyx Coffee Lab location in Fayetteville--it is REALLY good coffee! My husband and I rarely agree on strength and flavor, and we both love their coffee! This one is very flavorful and has a unique natural sweet and spicy thing going on for me. I got it just to test and see what the fuss is about, and it's now my favorite!
