Quality Papers for a Good Cup

These are very good filters. I realize now that you need the medium for the Hario dripper I purchased. Once you figure out how much coffee & which grind, suits you, this makes a superior one-cup pour-over coffee. The Breville Precision came with the pour over kit (Thanks SCG folks) so, that?s how I prepare it. One tip for using the Hario is to make sure it is warmed up. I don?t know if it is microwave safe but the porcelain is always cooler than room temperature. Anyway, if pour-over is your deal, these filters are perfect for a good cup.

All Good

Took some getting used to and changing coffee weight and water volume . After about 10 cups all good. Thinner then my previous brand filter.

Love the endless possibilities of bloom times. Even if you don’t get the grind size perfect, you can still adjust the time to get a decent cup of coffee

Misasrashi paper filters for Hario V6k0

Well, these are simple things and they do their work quietly and perfectly. They make the morning a decent opening to the day. I do like them and also Seattle Coffee Gear-both very reliable.

Buy them, you won't regret it.

They're simple but they're 5 stars in my book. Consistent brew and maybe I'm crazy, but I think the coffee made with these tastes slightly better than the bleached filters.

Yup.

Just what I needed, and you always have them in stock.

Handy tab makes for easy opening

These paper filters work very nicely. Excellent fit. The filter material is thin and strong. The drip time seems to be the same as that of other filters I’ve used. One feature I particularly appreciate is the small tab on the top edge that makes opening the filter easy. I’ve purchased other brands that seems to stick closed. The material and the tab make for easy opening. I did not notice any taste from the filter. Although I don’t think my taste is that refined.

Works as advertised

Always recommend pouring a bit of extra water before adding the grinds. Gets rid of the paper taste. But these do the job just fine!

Misarashi filters for the Hario dripper

I am pleased with the Misarashi filters for the Hario Dripper. They are unbleached and after a warm/hot water rinse while in the dripper, I do not detect any paper taste.

V60 Filter

These filters seem tasteless to me and I will buy more. The pour over brewing style has taken my coffee to a new level without having to spend a small fortune.

Filter descriptions

It would be helpful if the web site distinguished between brown filters and white filters and gave more information than small, medium and large. There are numbers on the packages that might be included on the site.

Good filters at a good price

I haven't noticed any paper taste in the cups I've made with my new pour-over setup. Drips nicely, no clogging even when making a huge travel mug of coffee.

A good product!

Used them, and will continue to use them... Why settle for clones...

The best, for not much more

No "off" flavor that I can taste, but I always do rinse the filter with boiling water as I preheat the dripper and the mug. These filters fit the Hario Dripper perfectly, and the resulting pour over is near perfection. Why risk saving pennies by using lesser filters?

The good stuff

Well worth it--I used to buy the cheap stuff at the grocery storethinking they all would taste the same...WRONG!Hario filters taste great and have VERY minimal taste of filter...and I mean very minimal.Whether you rinse it with water before or not, it tastes great. I usually don't pre-rinse anymore out of laziness (to be sure)but I don't really notice the difference. Spend the extra bucks and get these filters for your pourover, it's well worth it.Pros:Cons:

Great filters

Initially little leery of using "natural" unbleached filter. The cardboard tainted taste concern. Hope Hario's claim was true and not just marketing hype. After rinsing the filter with hot almost boiling water I poured some freshly heated water through the filter. Let the water cool to room temp. Tasted. No noticeable filter taste. No point in using bleached filter. A few grams less of junk in our environment. Spent filters & coffee end up in the compost pile.Pros:Commercial Grade, Easy To UseCons:

How come there are no Large (no 3) available? I have a No. 2 and a No. 3 Hario.

Are these for Hario V60?

Isaac H.

Yes! I've used these filters for years with my V60 and I keep buying more. Highly recommend.

What is the difference between a Hario v60 and a Hario 02?

Chris V.

Hario v60 is the style of the Filter and Hario 02 is the size of filter. It comes in 3 size: 01, 02 and 03. Make sure you order the right size. The Hario 02 is the size indicating on the unit.

Are these filters the new type with the tab on the top which are getting negative reviews on Amazon?

Can I use them for a 6 cup chemex ?

Dolly G.

The filters fit an 01 (1cup) or 02 (2cup) cone. I use both depending on if I'm taking a thermos of hot coffee with me on the road, or if I'm going to enjoy a cup of coffee later in my morning wake up ritual. That being said, I do not believe you have enough room in the 02 filters (the largest of the two; 01, 02) to fill with enough grounds for six cups.I use 8grams for one cup (8oz). You can try it since these filters are economical. Let us know. But my answer is no, these filters offer spectacular use for a maximum of two cups of awesome pour over coffee.

Jonathan C.

I would imagine that you could successfully use them with the Chemex 6-cup, since it takes a conical filter. But you would need to use a much finer grind of coffee than you would using the Chemex paper filter, since the latter drips the coffee much more slowly (thus requiring a coarser grind to avoid overextraction). (The only difference I have found between a Hario filter and a (e.g.) Melitta filter is that the Hario is a cone and the Melitta a truncated cone. Each is meant to fit properly into its own filter basket.

James J.

yes, the number two filters work well in the chemex pot.

Camigo

I do this sometimes in a pinch, but you have to nestle the paper still in the regular ceramic or plastic dripper then put that into the mouth of the Chemex. I wouldn't use just the paper in the Chemex, doesn't seem strong enough for that.

Ron B.

I like Hario paper better than Chemex and I actually use the Hario paper with my Chemex, however, you'll need to use the Hario glass dripper to do so.

Customer

I currently use 20g coffee, 350g water. You could put a lot more coffee in the filter, but you'd have to slowly pour over enough water for 6 cups.

Antonio C.T.

You can use them, but you won't be able to make the whole Chemex, just 2 per filter.
