It is good for what it is.

A real practical wooden box. It is strong enough to take the abuse but it is not a fine piece of furniture.

What are the measurements of the inside of the box? I think I have an insert for it,

5.5"x6"4" (WxDxH). Height (4") is from the ground up as the box is lifted 1/8" or so on rubber pads. Don't forget to get a rubber gasket too.

Hey there, I recently purchased a chute thinking it was a knockbox, only to realize I hadn't read all the way through so I purchased this as well, thinking it had a bottom to catch the grinds. It's a very nice box, but does anyone have suggestions on something I can put underneath to neatly catch the grinds? Thanks so much,

It is an empty box designed to hold an aluminium knock box of the appropriate size.

This fits the Rattleware Heavy Duty Knock Box. It is simply for aesthetics to hide the knock box. Roughly 4 inches tall and has thick rubber feet to protect counter top and minimize noise. A bar is not included, you must buy the knock box stated above.
