Great for home but wouldn't do for espresso shop as knock bar doesn't go all the way through. I use it to knock the grounds out of reusable k cup.?
I bought a Rattleware knock box several years ago and it was better constructed than this one. The new one has exposed welds where the cross bar meets the sides. And the rubber sleeve that fits over the bar does not extend all the way to the sides, is bulged up in the middle and has an open gap on the bottom. I'll look for a different manufacturer in the future.
Bought this as a replacement for a different brand. Customer service chat measured it for me to ensure it would fit my existing wooden surround. Fits perfectly. Sturdy material and construction.
Heavy duty knock box, met all expectations!
It's perfect for my countertop. I make at least 2 (2-shot) lattes a day so I only need to empty it at the end of the week. Feels solid, it's a little loud when I knock it but when I placed over a towel or cardboard it's less loud. Aesthetic wise I do like the idea of having a wooden box but didn't want to drop $25 to get a container (roughly the same amount I bought this for).
Whenever someone takes my knock box with them when they move out. I buy one again. This time I bought two. I can't be separated from this knock box.
It's big, it holds two porta filters and a towel ( it just neatins up my work station), and when I'm brewin up lattes for guests it is used for a great high capacity knock box. Price and value a plus.Pros:Easy To Use, Easy To CleanCons:

Will this work as an insert to the wooden box you sell separately? I have one exactly like it. I'd like to buy a gasket and box to fit around it.

I need to see a side view of the knock box. What does it look like without the rubber around the bar? Can the bar be removed?
The view from the front is nearly identical to the sides, the rubber and bar are not removable.
Are 6.5" x 7.5" dimensions outside of its box?
