I wanted a tamper with heft that does most of the work. I also wanted something that looks sharp & feels comfortable in the hand. Since I?m a Rocket Man (pun intended) the Rocket branded one-piece, heavy tamper was the best choice. It is designed well, very easy to use & looks great on the espresso bar. There?s a lot of tampers out there but I really lije this one!

It's smaller than the pack-in tamper in diameter and therefore fits a bit sloppier. Not sure what they were thinking there. Not so bad that it's unusable, but the updated stainless steel tamper they are packing in with machines now renders this aftermarket option pointless unless you just like the look of it.

It is perfect. The quality is fantastic. I have a Izzo Alex pro and I took a chance but it has the E61 head just like Rocket and it works beautifully. I realized it would work when my rocket bottomless one worked so I ordered it. Very happy with all my gear from you, Thank you.

Way better then standard tamper that came with my r58.

This thing is way too heavy, making it difficult to use precisely. Further, I would expect rockets top tamper to be more precise with their own baskets, it's just as bad as the stock tamper that comes with it. I actually went back to using the stock tamper because it is much more balanced, and now use a Pullman big step.

Although this is the matching Rocket tamper for my Rocket machine (58mm portafilter), the fit inside the portafilter as not as tight as I would like and coffee remain on the side walls unless I move the tamper around to remove it. Does anybody else find this a problem?Finish is usual Rocket high standards!

Odd that you could love a shinny chunk of stainless steel. Very nice.

I bought this tamper after my last one fell to the floor breaking off the handle. The polished stainless matches my Rocket R58 so it fits right in with my set up. I now have several of the Rocket accessories including their knock box, the four steam tip set, and now this tamper. The fit, finish, and quality of all of these items is top notch, as you might expect from the maker of such a fine espresso machine.

I own this tamper for serveral weeks by now. The reason why i went for for this particular one was because it matches my new machine - Rocket Espresso. It is as good as one could expect - stainless steel, polished, heavy (for the tamper). It does the job and it looks nice, with black letters on polished steel. Hope it won't get scratched easily, and so far, I believe I've made the right choice.P.S. Could not help but included 'small water tank' as a cons, as this was the only one applicable in this case - yeah, incredibly small water tank.Pros:Quiet, Easy To CleanCons:Small Water Container
