First off, if you're a bit tight on space like I am, it's worth noting that it's 8-1/8" by 5-3/4" from above. Looking from the front, the mat is nearly 7/16" thick on the high sides and the lip extends 1" down the edge of the counter, projecting 1/8" out in thickness from that front counter edge. The flat work area between the raised edges is about 7" by 5-1/4".The size was important to me, and after connecting with customer support from Seattle Coffee gear, I'm glad I chose this one.

Can't speak to the mat, but the description lists this as being 4"x7" and it's really more like 5 3/8"x8". Maybe doesn't matter for some but I was buying it specifically to fit a tight spot and it doesn't.

The rubber it get damage mark and stuff not recommend, size design it?s great but material looks in a week beat up

Very nice mat, sticks nicely to the counter and isn’t too big or too small.

Looks and works great. Never had one so I didn’t realize how small it would be and didn’t care to look at the measurements. Not sure if other tamping mats are usually this small but also don’t think you need a big one either so it works out.

Best mat I’ve used and I’ve used many. Sits perfect around lip of countertop. Like other rocket stuff, designed very well

I have a small kitchen without much counter space so this tamping mat fits perfectly! Durable and easy to clean. Couldn't ask for much more.

I haven't tried the edge wrap feature. It works very well with placing head of portafilter on it for secure tamping.

Did not know which mat style I'd ordered but the over the edge of counter model proved to be exactly what I needed.

Mat is perfect. Only negative is that it knicks easily from the bottom of the portafilter

It could be little thicker.I used it for few days and it already have some marks from tamping maybe because of the rubber material? Anyway I like it because it’s from Rocket!
