Perfect fit and instructions!

Easy to perform tune up with video provided and solved my extraction leak! Took about 10 min to put new gasket and screen in with about 39 min of cleaning the gunk around the brass parts. Espresso tastes amazing again!

Great but consider including a tool

This kit works perfectly. Silvia is back to making excellent espresso. Suggestion: include A tool to remove the old gasket. Removing the gasket is not easy without the right tool.

I ordered the gasket only but Seattle Coffee supplied me with the whole repair kit for my Rancilio Silvia. It was a welcome surprise, as I ended up using the entire kit.

Easy tune up!

I was able to quickly complete my Silva in just a few minutes. It works like new again!! No more off flavored shots...my husband and I have 2 of these machines ..one in Maine and North Carolina...the Silva with regular cleaning and m maintenance provides us with expresso with great cream, and my husband's favorite maple syrup lattes.

Didn’t need to use it. After backflushing and decalcifying, I discovered that the gasket was still soft and water was flowing properly. This after five years of every day easy use. Guess I was better at taking care of my Rancilio than I thought. The wand was clogged but easily cleared. Your videos were the perfect guides. I’ll hang on to the kit. You videos were the perfect teaching tools.

Tuning Up Silvia

Works great. Tip: If you are lazy like me and wait way to long to replace the rubber ring you may need to cut it out using a Dremmel tool like I did. After than the replacement was easy.

Taking the pledge! Not waiting for years to do

Ashamed to say that I waited 4 years to do this .. after using the Silvia for an average 6 - 8 espresso’s a day! Instruction videos a great help , especially Gail’s tip about using screw to pull out old gasket. It took about 15 minutes to do. Most surprising was the decent shape of the old gasket. Silvia is back to brand new again :-)

Is the screw and screen the flush style or like the original?

The screw I received with the Rancilio Sylvia tune-up kit is a slotted hex nut that protrudes from the surface of the screen, as on the original equipment.

The screw is a bolt/screw as the video shows. My original screw was just a screw on my version 2 Silvia. The screen is like the original with a lip. My version 2 has just the screen and not the extra piece they take off and clean that should be permanent. My machine sprays with the new gasket so may be a difference in version 1&2 and 3. The old gasket sealed better but was dryed out and needed replacing. I need to do more investigation into the new bottomless filter I got which is V3 and the old V2 portafilters with my machine as to if replacing the gasket with this gasket was a good idea for V2. Since I use Glow Glo, the filter still looked good and was pretty clean yet when I replaced it.
