I decided to replace Chemax pour over with this new machine. Nothing wrong with the Chemax. I wanted a machine rather than all manual.This coffee maker emulates a pour over. Same method. The hot plate was what sold me as the Chemex carafe doesn't maintain heat. The filters for this are cheaper than the Chemex also.This machine makes wonderful coffee consistently. I use George Howe light roast Costa Rican coffee awesome. I grind and weigh my coffee daily. 6 cups comes out to approximately 21 ounces of coffee Yum.The machine is very easy to use and very easy to keep clean. I'm really satisfied with my purchase.
