Note: this coffee contains approximately half the caffeine of a standard blend, it is not decaffeinated, if you have a strong sensitivity to caffeine this will likely have too much caffeine.

This is my go-to coffee…it’s flavorful without being bitter. I’ve been ordering it for several years and am never sorry. I think they roast when they get the order because the roast date is just a few days before I receive the order

Genius! Why don't more roasters offer a half and half?!?

I'm transitioning to decaf and sometimes need a bit more boost but don't want to mix roasters and go through the hassle of making my own. The roast is a perfect medium - not too dark and not too light with a decent body. It's nutty and a bit fruity w/o being sweet. It really is just the perfect cup of coffee. This is the perfect blend and I'm surprised more roasters don't offer the option! Would love more half and half options from other roasters and Seattle Coffee Gear.

If you're looking for the ease of good tasting half calf beans already mixed up for you, then I'd highly recommend Tony's Half Calf. Specific flavor highlights don't stand out in my mind because I experienced the coffee made from these beans as just a smooth, balanced, good cup of coffee. If you weigh your own beans you can always create your own half calf but sometimes that means mixing roasters. In this case, the roaster stays the same and the caffeine is cut in half for you. How much easier can it get? Enjoy!

My Jura coffee maker does not do well with very oily beans. These are medium roast and should be ok, but are they oily to the touch?

They are not. They are a medium roast and not sticky/oily the way French or Italian roasts are. Not as dry as light roasts, but I've gotten many bags over the past year and none have been oily.
