Zoka Coffee

Zoka Coffee Roasters opened their doors in 1996 and have been serving freshly roasted coffee ever since. Based in Seattle; Zoka is still owned and operated by Jeff Babcock, a longtime Cup of Excellence judge. This reputation is the advantage that sets the Zoka's coffee offering apart, as sourcing many of the quality lots is made possible through the strong relationships forged during Jeff's career. All roasting takes place in Bellingham on a 1963 Probat iron coffee roaster and all bags are hand-packed and dated to give customers full confidence in their coffee's quality.

Balanced and delicious...

Paladino is on the subtler scale, but doesn't skip on flavor and complexity. Stood up well on its own and in a latte. It actually was quite delicious. This is a quality product worth buying.

Perfect Balance with layers of flavor

Although I can get fresh espresso beans here in Southern Oregon within days of roasting from my local coffee roaster. I still opt for Zoka's Paladino Blend. I don't buy large amounts because I prefer to use beans when they are at their sweet spot (one week after roasting). So I order every two weeks. Shipping is a bummer but the upside is I pull the most amazing shots layered with flavor. Even amounts of Chocolate and fruit notes. Smooth, sweet and fruity at the same time. The Best! A Must Try, especially for the "at home espresso Barista."

It's a winner

Lives up to everything I read about it. Very tasty and I'm enjoying my cappuccinos and lattes more than ever. It's the one I've been looking for. I'll be back for more!

Yep, love this one

I think I've found my favorite espresso. Once I got my machine calibrated with the first bag, it was happiness from then on out. I use this primarily for dry flavored lattes, and it's excellent with more or less milk. It's strong enough to stand through the milk, but not smoky and burnt. As straight espresso it's smooth and easy to drink. The crema it produces is beautiful, and I am pleased to say that this will be my go to for a long time to come. I don't feel like it's strong caffeine-wise, and I feel like that's a plus. Other roasters try to sneak Robusta in to up the amperage, but this is 100% Arabica. This way, a caffeine sensitive person like myself can drink more and still go to bed. Yay!

New go-to coffee

This is my new favorite coffee. It tastes as great as it smells, soft hints of chocolate. I love the less oily beans for my machine! Must try!

Incredible Coffee Beans

In all honesty, I ordered them to get over the limit for the $5 off coupon when getting the froth to perfection pitcher (which is also great). I was pleasantly surprised by one of the best coffee experiences I've had outside of a Seattle or European coffee shop. Highly recommend them and will buy them again. They are not oily espresso beans, like the big chain beans, and will make my superautomatic espresso machine go much longer between time-consuming cleanings. Highly recommend.

Kat and Gail used this Zoka favorite in a machine review. It's an absolutely fantastic bean & roast. It's my favorite bean in almost 30 years of strictly espresso. I'm a home roaster and hope to achieve this quality, just a beautiful job.

Great Taste

Zoka has nailed it when it comes to Paladino, it's wonderful. I've been using it for years and the consistancy is spot on. Thank you Seattle Coffee Gear for carrying Zoka's coffees.

Is this an oily bean?

Teri K.

No, the Zoka Paladino is a non oily bean and so it is a good option for super automatic machines.
