Do not buy this machine

I've spent 3.5 hours on the phone with Philips support trying to figure out why my machine is leaking and why it keeps telling me the filter has air in it. The instructions are pretty bad, not hard to follow, but also not descriptive. After installing the filter, water began to leak from under the unit. Support told me that it was shipped without a seal and they'd send a new one within a week. $1200 and they ship a tank with missing parts? Weird. We hung up and I started to pack it back up and return because it's BS. I fiddle with the water tank and found that it actually did have a rubber seal. Called back again and went through more steps to trouble shoot the filter itself because it kept saying there was air in it. We went back and forth for over an hour and they said they'll send me a new filter. Not sure how the water filter gets air trapped in it right after following the directions but it did. I'm over this machine. Oh and don't put stickers anywhere on it. It came white a large orange sticker on the top and it won't come off. So now I sit here and have to figure out how to remove the awful sticky portion of the sticker.

Weak brew

This coffee maker is not capable of brewing a good cup of coffee. Maybe it has a manufacturing defect with the grinder. If you like a deep rich brew, look for another manufacturer.

Super easy to use and many options for great coffee choices

We had to say goodbye to our Saeco Incanto espresso machine after 10+ years and I feared I wouldn't find something as good as what we had however we are very pleased with this 4400 model. The touchscreen is easy to use and there are several options for everyone to enjoy different coffee choices. And it is quieter than our old machine which is nice.

Not super

I am returning it. Unfortunately it is not very good. Constantly have to reboot, refill, recalibrate. The milk frother doesn't froth and is very messy. Spurts milk everywhere. Way too high maintenance for a super automatic. Tried it for 20 days.

my husband and I love everything about this machine. It is very easy to use and the LatteGo works so good and we don't have to hold our cup anymore while the milk is frothing. We are very happy we chose the 4400 Lattego Super Automatic Machine

Takes a few shots to get broken in but so far has been well worth the money. Consistent and reliable.

Get the Breville instead

Don't buy this machine...Here's why: The milk froth comes out like water. The coffee doesn't taste rich like the older generation of machines. We have already replaced this with the Breville Barista Touch Espresso machine. The coffee from that machine is rich and the milk is amazing. Not as automatic, but guess what? You only get to have delish coffee from this machine.

Excellent machine.

We are very happy with this machine. It would be nice if it had better options for coffee sizes but the brewed coffee is excellent and we like the froth. We had a Jura before and we like the finished coffee with the 4400 better

Great tasting coffee

Love my coffee! The 4400 is quieter and has a great display. Just wish it would make a bigger cup of coffee, I always have to run twice to get a full cup.

I would not recommend

Very easy to use but I had a machine for 14 years and it was qualitatively better. It was an A on its last leg this is a C. Expresso beans not filtered with the richness and come out very weak despite most potent selection.. I use the same special beans. The milk carafe does not adequately froth, very very disappointed. The whole machine is plastic and I would like to return

Maximum programmable cup size for Americano or Coffee? Customer service has told me 14 oz. but was not able to confirm by researching

Jake B.

Hello! For the Americano option, the maximum is right about 14oz. Each Americano set to maximum size programming is ~6.75oz-7oz (coffee + water) and then if you use the 2x function on the machine for a double drink, you'll get just shy of 14oz on the Americano setting. Sometimes it's actually a little over that amount when combined, we got 14.2oz max when testing it here a couple of times. The double coffee setting is closer to a 12oz max when using the 2x setting and maximum volume setting. About 6oz each grind/brew cycle on that one.

Does the 4400 have Auto off?

KAD

Yes and it's a nice feature. And it's also a quick start up.

Jake B.

Yes, the 4400 does have Auto Off. This is adjustable to 15, 30, 60, or 180 minutes via the settings menu.

what is major diff between 4300 and 4400?

Seattle Coffee Gear

e

Jake B.

Hello! The biggest difference is that the 4400 LatteGo has the Quiet mark certification, meaning it is certified by the Quiet Mark company, more information on that can be found here: https://www.quietmark.com/how-quiet-mark-certifies-products The 4400 also has an upgraded color screen, and color icons. It also has an additional 4 drink selections than the 4300. It is effectively the newer upgraded model of the 4300 so functionality as far as the taste of the coffee goes would be similar between the 4300 and 4400 but you get more creature comforts and quieter brewing with the 4400.
