Key Features

  • 65mm Flat Burrs - The Atom 65 uses the same burrs as Eureka's commercial Zenith line, and can be upgraded to their titanium or RedSpeed finishes.
  • Silent Grind - A thick, non-resonant case and rubber hush gaskets at common sound exit points give the grinder a soft, low sound easy to hold a conversation over.
  • ACE System - Eureka's anti-clump and -static grind chute help keep your grounds fluffy and your countertops clean.
  • Stepless Bottom Burr Adjust - The Atom 65's near-infinite grind adjustments are made from below the motor with an easy knurled knob. This helps to preserve your grind setting when you disassemble your grinder for cleaning.
  • Programmable Dosing - Program both single and double shot grind times from the color screen, or select the center button to grind manually.

Overview

The Eureka Atom 65 strikes a beautiful balance between commercial-built power and home-focused convenience. With design cues from both the original Atom and commercial Zenith grinders, the Atom 65 truly gives you the best of both worlds. Eureka's espresso-built 65mm burrs power through double shots in record time (18 grams in ~5.5 seconds) and dose in an impressive stream (thanks to Eureka's refined ACE system) that's free of clumps and excess static. Normally, a grinder this production-focused comes at the cost of a large footprint—both physically and sonically. Instead, your morning will stay blissfully silent thanks to the Atom's sound-insulated case, while its relatively small 6x9 dimensions will let you tuck it almost anywhere.

Eureka Atom 65 Specialita,

Great product, consistent, not much retention, smooth, and ready to tamp the coffee. The jump from the "stock" Breville grinder to the flat burs grinder on the Eureka, made a huge difference. Now I am ready for a step up on the espresso machine.

I love this grinder

I moved into this grinder from a Macap M4 or 5 I purchased from SCG 10 years ago.I was attracted to this grinder to its rating that it was quiet and easy to clean without having to re calibrate the grinder.I have found it easy to set the presets with the use of a scale. It leaves almost zero mess is you are careful when dosing. Super quiet. I highly recommend it.

Fast and quiet

It is quiet but fast. Heavy, no bells nor whistles, just beautifully even and no clumps.

A bit rough around the edges.

Good grinder, however needs some improvements. The support for the portafilter was very sharp and had to be removed and smoothed. This is unacceptable for a grinder at this price point. The metal was stamp cut with no finishing and cut fingers and scratched the portafilter.

Once it is set up it is a great grinder. The set up requires a non skid mat to be put under the grinder so that when grinding the machine does not twist torque away. Then if you live in a low humidity area you have to use the RDT method which involves spritzing your beans to remove static before grinding, otherwise your ground coffee will spray all over the place. I wish I knew this before purchasing. I have a Rocket r9 one and the consistency that I was looking for is achieved with this grinder.

Great grind - wish it were easier to change all beans

Plus - I switched from a Sette 270 Wi as I was tired of the slipping of the setting. The Eureka fixed that, as you set it and it doesn't move even if you take it apart to clean it. Con - However I have caff and decaff preferences in the house and I still haven't figured out how to change the bean type rapidly without waste of beans.Plus,Plus - The Eureka grinds beautiful, fluffy beans that are perfect for my preferred espresso. It is quite, which is great for my 5am early morning espresso before the house wakes up.

Another Rocky Upgrader

Been using my starter kit (Rocky + Silvia) for almost 10 years now, and It was finally time to upgrade, especially considering the hassle going to a coffee shop now entails.I've pulled almost 100 18 gram shots with my new setup (Atom 65 + R58) using 3 different kinds of beans. Looking back, it took around 60 or 70 doses with the Atom 65 before it started living up to its potential. The first 30 were a mess, the next 30 or so were frustrating, and then suddenly I was getting within 0.2 of 18 grams of fluffy goodness every time.I love that the time can be changed by 0.05 second intervals, that pulling apart the burrs to clean them doesn't change the grind setting, and was surprised that the portafilter rest worked so well, although my one minor issue is that a bottomless portafilter ends up resting on the bottom of the basket. Perhaps a quest for an upgraded portafilter rest will prevent me from upgrading to Red Speed burrs right away.Great machine. No regrets.

What a machine!

Bought this open box to replace a grinder that was on the fence for espresso. What a difference this grinder made for my Rancilio Silvia! Makes amazing espresso and so quick and easy to use.

Not Great so far...

Bought this Grinder looking for a solution to inconsistent grinds with a lower priced Grinder. Have owned it for about 5 weeks now and it is not consistent. Every morning, even with same beans, it takes some large adjustments. Also, even when not adjusting the grind, and using the same bean, sometimes comes out nice and fluffy, other times not. Either there is a problem with this unit, or I had higher expectations for the money being spent. We need a great grinder to match our Rocket Appartamento.... thought we were getting it with this Grinder, but so far not too happy.

ROCKY (or any Step Grinder) OWNERS: UPGRADE NOW - TRUST ME!!

My Rancillio Rocky served me well for almost eight years but the more I experimented with different beans and the PID on my Silvia, the more I could not get the fine tuned grind I wanted. I finally bit the bullet and upgraded to the highly recommended Eureka Atom and my coffee world has transformed. Super fine, super consistent grind tuning, QUIET operation (I can now talk to someone while a grind!), FAST grinding and.... it shoots out in a stream: no miss or mess! If you have a Rocky or Step, save yourself grind frustration and the $$$ you waste pursuing the right grind - Get the Eureka Atom NOW - you will NOT regret it.
