I love this machine. The quality is outstanding. I'll never go back. I'm so happy I stopped at Coffee Gear while visiting my sister in Seattle. I shipped it home. Love the coffee club. So many choices from around the world. Kind of like wine.

Machine needed repair after 3 months but apparently there's no one to repair the machine!

We bought this machine about a year ago on the recommendation of a SCG representative. We've had several espresso machines over the years and had been looking for a compact superautomatic machine to keep our countertop clean/tidy and this sounded like the best solution. It worked fine for about 3 months even though the display had a constant "empty water" icon regardless of whether full or not. Then the espresso became increasingly weak over a few days with condensation building up inside (we followed all the cleaning and preparation instructions, using only light roasts as well). After about 4 days, only brownish water came out and the pucks were just loose grounds - obviously an issue with water temp and pressure. We would have been fine with sending the machine back to be repaired however there apparently is nowhere to send a Jura as SCG directed us to the manufacturer who after many emails and attempts to call (no answer or hours long wait time), gave us vague instructions of how to fix it ourselves (did not work and wasn't even in the ballpark of the issue we were having). Jura was absolutely unreachable and offered no repair assistance (neither did SCG). Now a year later, the $1000 machine still sits in its box in our garage with no one who can fix a machine under warranty. So I cannot recommend this machine, Jura or SCG unfortunately.

A good machine. Just keep it clean.

Have mine now over 5 years. Works just fine. Used everyday about 7-10 times. Sometimes when using dark roast beans they tend to be a oilier type of bean which can clog up in the inside. Simply slide the disposal tray out, stick your hand inside the machine and you can feel the coffee ground build up . Just scratch away at it with your fingers and it falls down. Slide tray back and it ready to use. I love it.

We purchased this machine about 7 months ago and it has been nothing but a problem. When the light comes on for cleaning it will not go thru the cycle, I've had it into the shop for repairs, and was assured it was repaired but it is still not working properly. I'm very sorry that I purchased it thinking it would be a Swiss made quality product.

Excellent coffee, some bad design decisions...

We've used the Jura machines for many years now. Our last one, the pre-cursor, died after about 3.5 years of HEAVY use. We got the ENA-4. The coffee quality is excellent - BUT, for some strange reason, they put a grill in the coffee bean receptacle that frequently gets clogged with dry beans, leaving the grinder to grind on nothing, and ruining a shot of espresso. Just keep an eye on the bean level, and if it does not move when you start a cup of coffee... abort the shot, poke the beans (they will then fall down into the grinder receptacle) and try again. I'm going to see if I can figure out how to cut the grill out...
